Amy Adams photographed by Mert Alas &

Amy Adams is the new cover girl for Vanity Fair's November 2008 issue. She was photographed by photo duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot. The fashion was styled by Michael Roberts. Inspiration came from the "Old Hollywood" portrait shots of George Hurrell.

Some snippets from the accompanying interview, courtesy of Vanity Fair -

About how she pursued her part in the new movie Sunshine Cleaning- "I didn’t audition—I hounded!” Adams admits. “I hounded [producer] Scott Rudin and John Patrick Shanley for months!” Another actor was attached to the part, so Adams was told to forget it. Still, she flew to New York and called Shanley with the old ruse that she was already there on other business, and could they just meet for coffee? “I’m a tenacious person, but I’m not usually that sort of dog-with-a-bone,” says Adams. “But I just loved Doubt. I loved the delicacy of it."

Regarding "Faith" - "Faith is something I’ve been exploring in my roles for a while,” Adams says as she takes a dainty bite of her room-service salad. “How we deal with doubt, how we deal with questions.” With each new character, she asks herself: What is this character’s religious background? “I think it’s a great indicator of behavior—their faith or the lack thereof."

Megan Fox for GQ November 2008

Megan Fox is the cover girl for GQ's November 2008 issue. She was photographed by Terry Richardson.

Here are some snippets from the accompanying article, courtesy of GQ-

Regarding her perceived persona - “I want people to know me through the movies I do,” she says. “I want to be judged on that. If you start becoming famous for your personal life, that’s when your career goes away.”

Regarding fame -“I don’t want to be famous right now,” she says. “I’ve done one movie. And it’s not a movie I want to stand on as far as acting ability goes. I mean—I’m not going to win an Oscar anytime soon. I’m not Meryl Streep.”

Regarding Disney and the scandalous pics of Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cirus - “Sex is something that everyone does, so why can’t I talk about it?” Sexual double standards make Fox angry, and when conversation turns to tabloid-flamed scandals surrounding other teen stars who’ve been photographed in various stages of nudity and seminudity, she goes off: “With any of the Miley Cyrus shit, or any of that Vanessa Hudgens shit—I would never issue an apology for my life and for who I am. It’s like, Oh, I’m sorry I took a naked, private picture that someone is an asshole and sold for money. I’m sorry if someone else is a dick. No. You shouldn’t have to apologize. Someone betrayed Vanessa, but no one’s angry at that person. She had to apologize. I hate Disney for making her do that. Fuck Disney.”

The artist describes the piece as follows: "Siren is an image that glows and gives out love and light," Quinn said in a statement. "But [it also] remains completely implacable and silent."

Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick
photogrpahed by Steven Klein image courtesy
of Details Magazine

Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley and Ed Westwick are the new cover boys for Details Oct. 2008 issue. The teen idols from the CW hit show Gossip Girl were photographed by Steven Klein.

Some snippets from the"OMFG - IT'S THE GOSSIP BOYS" article, coutesy of Details Magazine:

Chace is cheerfully reeling off the indictments against him. "Model turned actor, dime a dozen, eye candy, doesn't know what he's doing ... and Perez Hilton says I have 'gayface.' So on top of everything else, I have to overcome gayface."

Chace, whose demeanor is friendly and relaxed, says he loves his job. Good thing, since he, like all the principals, is under contract for another six seasons. "It never really gets frustrating," he says. "Sure, sometimes you just want to have a scene where you're drunk or having fun. I'm hoping for a fall from grace for Nate. Five years from now, I better have murdered someone!"

Penn, who's 21, is funny and articulate, if prone to the occasional conversational misfire that makes you want to hand him a rewind button. Example:

Penn on the paparazzi: Sometimes it's like, I wanna walk my dog, and I can't, because there might be photographers.

Me: You have a dog?

Penn: No. Everybody else does, though.

"People who don't know me that well often think I'm a bit of an asshole and take myself too seriously," he says

That's me," he says. "Batman. I am Batman." He leans forward, liking the ring of it. "I am Batman."

"Secret identity?" I ask.

"Oh, yeah," he says.

"So who are you right now?"

He smirks. "Pure Bruce Wayne."
