I recently ordered these awesome Carrera shades on line. I believe this line is a subsidiary of the Porsche design group, directly related to the Porsche sports cars. I'm not sure if these are dead stock, but if they're not, there amazing re-issues.
These two frames (above and below) have UV Clear lenses, which offer full protection even though they are clear. I'm feeling this 1980's Pseudo Futurism vibe. I have to admit the purple frames (above) are my favorite because I can't help but think of Prince..."Purple Rain, Purple Rain...."
This pair have more traditional black out lenses, but the oversized frames are perfect for the "morning after" walk of shame. Were they any more oversized, they'd be pushing up on Mugler's vintage "bug" shades.
So I recently visited my new spot for kicks - and came home with an armful of Nikes. You gotta love the Air Max. I remember my first pair when they dropped the original 95's.
If you're in Hollywood, check out Drip. Check out this video clip to give you a peek at their goods. Very friendly staff and some major stock, lots of vintage dead stock, reissues and hard to find models.
Excuse my snaps - I definitely am not meant to be a still life photograher - jaja!
I just received this beautiful illustration in my email the other day. It's by my good friend, the talented Mr. Dubious Lee.
She looks like she could this century's reboot of the bust of Nefertiti- Both have the same refined facial features. Mr. Lee's technique has echoes of the late and great illustrator Antonio.
I just bought this not very Valentino scarf - I love the abstract red ribbon skull design...kind of reminds me of the vintage AlexanderMcqueen ones that every had for a moment, and a bit like the skull pattern that Thomas Wylde is known for...Now I can't for the cool weather..
One might assume that Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli at Valentino's house are slowly trying for a reboot - perhaps a Tisci like transformation??? It makes sense in this case as they were in charge of accessories for the house of Valentino for years....
