You can check out a wonderful review of the collection written by Suzy Menkes through the IHT website via this link. There's a wonderful slideshow of notable designers from London's S/S 2009 Collections which can be viewed at this link. D Squared S/S 2009 Milan show featured Retro Stars Esther Canadas, Fernanda Tavares and Nadege du Bospertus as a modern Charlie's Angels trio.

Perhaps there's a trend for Retro Stars following Marc Jacob's recent S/S 2009 New York show which had Emma Balfour, Christina Kruse and Jamie Bochert. You can read my previous posting regarding the Jacobs show here. Check out the new Women Management polaroids of Christina and Jamie here.

A great review of the show through Style.com can be viewed through this link. A slideshow of the collection also through Style.com can be accessed here.

Is it just my opinion that Esther Canadas is starting to morph into Jocelyn Wildenstein?

Very Donna Mills' turn in last season's Nip/Tuck "Lulu Gridiron" episode?

Rag and Bone S/S 2009 collection featured several outfits that echoed the Skinhead look of the late 1970's and 1980's, popular in British street culture at the time.

The styling also had bits of Ray Petri's influence. You can learn more about the late great Ray Petri, from my article for The Imagist, via this link. The rest of the collection explored variations and related looks associated with the Skinhead movement, especially the Mod/Ska and Punk Rock tribes.

Perhaps it's a case of designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville going back to their roots.
From the looks sent down the catwalk, it looks like it's not time to retire the "skinny" jeans look just yet.

Fantastic Fashion - Lacoste S/S 2009 Color Blocked Mods

Lacoste S/S 2009 Collection images courtesy
of men.style.com

Lacoste
is offering some fantastic black and white color blocked Mod pieces for S/S 2009. However, I'm not so keen on the 1 golfing gloved accompanying look.

Both The New York Times and Men.Style.com have some fabulous pics from the recent show.

FANTASTIC FASHION - VICTOR GLEMAUD S/S 2009

The Fashionisto and Victor Glemaud

So what do we think of Victor Glemaud's S/S 2009 collection held recently at Milk Studios in New York? I'm loving the white jeans, especially the white cut-offs, and the pastel sweaters!

The New York Times has some great coverage of the show which can be viewed via this link. Also fellow bloggers Lateboots and The Fashionisto have great postings about V.G.'s recent show.
