Linda Evangelista has just been booked as the new face of Prada's F/W 2008-2009 campaign, to be photographed by Steven Meisel. Linda was booked so often with Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell that they were dubbed "The Trinity" by fashion insiders.
The 43 year old mother of one is still beautiful and is part of a new "Supermodel" Renaissance. " "Trinity" members Naomi Campbell is the face for Yves Saint Laurent and Christy Turlington is the campaign face of Escada, both of whom are 38. Claudia Schiffer, at 37, has just booked the Salvatore Ferragamo campaign.
"Time makes them more interesting," said Chanel's iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld. "They are, and stay, irreplaceable.
Linda once stated in an interview that she "didn't get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day
." This comment became part of fashion history but wound up affecting Evangelista's image in a negative fashion.
